Worship at Gloria Dei Saturdays 5:00pm, Sundays 9:00am and 10:30am

Regular Worship and a Pet Blessing

Hello Gloria Dei,

Reminder: The 10:30 service this week only will be a 20-to-25-minute Pet Blessing. I will preach at our other two weekend services, concluding the series “Lessons I’ve Learned from my Dog”. But the 10:30 time frame, this weekend only, will be a short time of blessing and prayers for our pets and all of God’s creation.

So, if you would like, bring lawn chairs/blankets and be sure to have your pet on a leash or in a carrier. We’ll sing some songs, say some prayers, and bless our pets. Following this 20-to-25 minute time frame, the SDSU Ice Cream truck will be on hand selling shakes, cones, and all things ice cream. ***We will have our normal worship services in the sanctuary on Saturday, July 23, at 5:00 p.m. and on Sunday, July 24, at 9:00 a.m. You could come to worship on Saturday at 5 or Sunday at 9, and then go home and bring your pet outside at 10:30. Should be a fun and interesting morning.

And I know I’ve reminded you of Neighbor Night over these past few weeks, but I will do it again, as I’d love to see many of you here sharing hospitality and fellowship with our neighbors, some of whom have never been on our campus before. So, here’s the reminder once again.
This Tuesday, July 26 from 6 to 9 p.m. we are inviting our neighbors to the west of our campus to come and have some food, fun, and fellowship. And we want you there! Plenty of hot dogs will be on hand, with games for kids, and good times for all. Come for some or all of the time, all the while, welcoming many to our church who have not yet been here. At the end of the evening, we will gather in the fellowship area and sing some songs. Hospitality is the name of the game. So come and help us welcome our neighbors on Neighbor Night.

One more thing: Please mark your calendars for Sunday September 11. This will be our kick-off, rally Sunday. Church School Classes will begin on this day, and we will get rolling with our fall programming. God is good… All the time.

See you in worship!
