LIFT Living In Faith Together

Hello Gloria Dei,

I know it is still early in August, but I want to let you know that we have a great day planned next month as we kick-off the new school year and our fall programming.

Sunday, September 12, is LIFT Sunday. It is our Rally Day. LIFT stands for Living In Faith Together. Mark that day on your calendars. From 8:15 to Noon that Sunday morning we will have great food, fun activities for families and kids, games to play, and the Church School kids will be able to see where their classroom will be for the upcoming year. And of course, we will worship together at our regular worship times. And like the five rings of the Olympic Games, we will focus in on five of our core values as a faith community together. Watch for more information as the date gets closer.

LIFT: Living in Faith Together. Even through these past 18 months, God has been at work. Through livestream worship; through Zoom Bible Study and Fellowship opportunities; through online confirmation, and through caring ministries, we have continued to Live in Faith Together.
However, I can’t tell you how great it is to be together. Our worship numbers are on the rise again and groups are gathering in person once again. This fall I’m praying for a revival and a renewal in our faith life together. I’m praying for a revival and renewal for the whole church, across this country and around the world. Keep Christ’s Church in your prayers too. And be sure to include Gloria Dei.

As we conclude our preaching series this weekend called “Do You Believe in Miracles?”, I know that God is working miracles through and in you at Gloria Dei. This is a community filled with the Holy Spirit and our central focus is proclaiming and living out the gospel.

In preparation for worship this weekend, please read John 11:1-45. God’s miracles of new life are all around us. Thanks for being part of this life-giving community as we are Living in Faith Together.

See you in worship,

Pastor Tim
