Gloria Dei is involved in local outreach.

Hunger Ministries

• Gloria Dei serves at The Banquet twice a year – October and March.
• Gloria Dei collects food for The Food Pantry and also serves at The Mobile Food Pantry: Food to You
• Members provide Thanksgiving dinner baskets to families through the Interlakes Community Action Project.
• Members deliver Meals on Wheels twice a week to shut-in members of the community.

Homeless Ministries

• Gloria Dei members provide the evening meal and fellowship to guests at St. Francis House, a housing ministry with a “hands up” approach.
• 7th & 8th grade confirmation students support families at the Heartland House, a transitional housing shelter for families, by providing childcare while parents attend self-help and life-skills classes.
• The congregation supports Habitat for Humanity through financial gifts and hands-on work.

Community Needs

• Gloria Dei helps fund Community Outreach, a joint effort of local churches to provide rent assistance, transportation help, and crisis ministry.
• Gloria Dei supports The Furniture Mission that collects good used furniture and gives it to those who have none.
• Gloria Dei responds with encouragement to youth and adults as they seek to serve our Lord by serving others.
