Gloria Dei is involved in the global mission of the Church.

Companion Synods

• The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Cameroon
• Gloria Dei directly sponsors Dr. James and Carolyn Brown, missionaries in Cameroon.
• Gloria Dei participates in the “Train Up a Child” scholarship program so that children in Cameroon can attend school.
• Gloria Dei also relates to the Cameroonian exchange students who study at Augustana College.
• The Lutheran Church of Nicaragua, Faith and Hope
• Gloria Dei takes an annual mission trip to Nicaragua to further our relationships and provide accompaniment to Lutherans in Nicaragua.
• Gloria Dei directly sponsors Annie Bjerke, a missionary to Nicaragua.
• Through Vision For Mission, Gloria Dei has provided funds to purchase land and materials to build a church center/clinic in the Chinandega region of Nicaragua, a rural area the church serves.

Global Projects

• Gloria Dei alleviates world hunger by monthly offerings to the ELCA World Hunger Appeal.
• Gloria Dei quilters make quilts for Lutheran World Relief, Lutherans Outdoors and Shetek Bible Camp.
• Gloria Dei supports the Coffee Project of Lutheran World Relief by providing access to Fair Trade Coffee.
